About Training
Training will be held every other weekend (avoiding major holidays and three day weekends). Trainees are required to attend all required hours. Cost includes unlimited classes at both studios September 21-May 18, all guest teachers and master classes are included in your cost.
Deposits are nonrefundable, with the exception of those NOT ACCEPTED to the program.
All prospective teachers must complete an application for entrance into the program.
Yoga Nine is currently accepting applications for the 200 hour (basic) and 300 hour (advanced leading to a 500 hour YA RYT) certifications for 2016-2017. Applicants should have a steady yoga practice and understand that teacher training must be accompanied by a strong continuation of this personal practice.
Beginning Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Details:
Training at Yoga Nine provides aspiring teachers to the most comprehensive coverage of the practice of postural yoga and its philosophical foundations.
This will include:
History of yoga
From its origins in the Indus Valley through its present Western development
Philosophical underpinnings of modern postural practice
(others with group interest)

- Yoga Sutras of Patanjali
- Hatha Yoga Pradipika
Anatomy of Movement
(relevant to yoga practice and teaching)
