All classes at Yoga Nine are taught by certified, highly trained professionals.  All classes stress proper alignment and hands-on instruction to ensure that your practice is safe, effective and enjoyable.  The curriculum focuses health and wellness, balance and improving the quality of life; whatever stage that may be.  Guided relaxation is part of every practice. (All classes ongoing and are 75 minutes unless otherwise noted).

Beginner Friendly Classes

Yoga 101

5 week course for REAL BEGINNERS. Learn the basic postures, breathing techniques and props to use for a safe practice that fits your needs. Graduates are ready for Gentle Yoga, Yoga Technique or (Vinyasa) Yoga Flow classes.  Unlimited classes are available to students over the 5-week session.  Students combine “Gentle” and “Yoga Technique” classes with YOGA 101 instructional classes. Comes with $60.00 “green” latex and Jute mat.

New To Yoga

Gentle Yoga

Focusing on stretching, balancing and basic postures, this class is accessible to all skill levels and ages. Uses props to gain maximum benefit from your postures. Relax. Rejuvenate. Renew! Emphasis is on enhancing WELLBEING.

Yoga Technique

Focusing on improving technique in foundation postures, breathing and core strength, this class is accessible to all skill levels and ages. The goal is advancement at any level. Come in, relax and enjoy this introductory class.

Yin Yoga

Suitable for almost all levels of students, a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.

Exhale!

A little bit of yin, a little bit of yang, a whole lot of Ahhhh….Just the right mix of initial deep stationary holding and slow moving to let you unwind. Standing holding to build strength and stamina.

Advanced Beginner and Intermediate Classes

Yoga Flow

Get into the flow with Vinyasa yoga, tying postures together with breath and movement. Advanced beginning to intermediate energetic sequencing links postures to build core strength and aerobic fitness

Pranayama & Meditation
Breath work and meditation practice to improve your focus and attention, and heat up your asana practice. Take it to the next level.

All Levels Yoga

(Advanced Beginners)
A bit more challenging than gentle yoga, this class offers students the opportunity to try deeper variations. Incorporates some basic flow and intermediate postures.

Pay It Forward Yoga

(Beginner Friendly)
FREE class offered twice a week. Look to our pop-up service board for opportunities to give back to our community in exchange. Come in, enjoy and relax.

Intermediate to Advanced Classes

Yoga Flow (Plus)

Get into the flow with Vinyasa yoga, tying postures together with breath and movement. Advanced beginning to intermediate energetic sequencing links postures to build core strength and aerobic fitness inversions practiced. (90 minute (Plus) classes)

Inversion Immersion

(Advanced Beginner – Advanced)
Come practice as you warm up for and then break down inversions, lifts and jumps. This class is meant to teach the steps it takes to manage these more challenging postures and movements

Teen Yoga

Yoga class to promote strength, flexibility and focus specifically designed for teens ages 11-16. Taught by Tara, experienced yoga teacher and teen counselor. Promotes confidence and fitness.

Yoga for Cancer

(Beginner Friendly)
Class for those taking control of their health and wellness after a Cancer diagnosis. Gentle class for all levels of recuperation.

Mindful Meditation

Mindfulness Meditation is a technique for alleviating distress and enhancing well-being by observing one’s own thoughts, emotions, and sensations with clarity and acceptance. This class is suitable for beginners with no prior experience, covering the basics needed for practice. It will also be useful to experienced meditators as a setting conducive to meditation as well as offering different meditation techniques to expand one’s repertoire. Brief descriptions of various techniques will be given, along with periods of silent and guided meditation. Current research is confirming traditional reports that mindfulness benefits by reducing stress, anxiety, depression, anger and pain, while enhancing concentration, calm, empathy, sleep quality, and relationship satisfaction.
